Far Cry 5 Review

Far Cry games have always been a fan favorite for many reasons. Usually they have a massive open world for you to explore, and Far Cry 5 is no different. You also have a pretty engaging and fun story, all kinds of elements that allow you to improve your character and ways to really push the limits and take things to the next level. It’s a whole lot of fun to play Far Cry 5, since there are all kinds of missions and cool moments to experience.

The story itself is interesting, since you find yourself right in the middle of a doomsday cult that took over the county and its leader is controlling everything. As a result, you want to stay alive and, if possible, deal with this entire cult as much as you can. It’s never going to be easy, but you are free to play the way you want and immerse yourself into the story.

At its core, Far Cry 5 is an action adventure FPS, and it has a massive open world game for you to explore. You can fully customize the character appearance this time around, and there’s more focus on melee combat this time around. They still have a lot of weapons in the game however, and there’s even a new weapon ballistics system, with bullets dropping after a certain distance. There’s more realism, but the game does bring in plenty of creativity and fun, which is exactly the thing to take into consideration.

Every region has its outposts and you do have the opportunity to capture those and control as you expand your power and slowly remove all the main leader’s siblings before taking him on. The game also has resistance points that you can accumulate in order to tackle on the leaders for one of the 3 regions.

Within Far Cry 5 you also have a rather interesting recruitment system where you can recruit locals to fight with you if you want. You can also find specialists that have their own skills and personality. It’s great, because it adds a lot more intensity and fun to the game, while also making the gameplay itself more interesting and exciting at the same time. That’s what makes it so cool and interesting right off the bat.

The combat is very refreshing and Far Cry 5 does a great job at making you feel that you progress through the story. It’s also nice to see that the game has multiplayer and its own map maker. You are free to create all kinds of wacky maps if you want to, and it’s just one of those things that make the experience very interesting and a whole lot of fun.

All in all, Far Cry 5 is a pleasure to play and it only gets better as you go through. The story itself might not be for everyone (I liked it though), but the game is always pushing the limits and it offers you new weapons and tools to play with. That’s why it’s well worth checking out right now on Ubisoft+ on Amazon Luna!
