Yakuza 0 Review

Yakuza 0 is a very popular action adventure game and the ‘first’ title in this incredible series. What really makes the game stand out is that you get to be in the driver’s seat as you get to experience the 1980s life in Japan, with some incredible storytelling and a ton of challenges that our characters are going through.

Yakuza games always have a very distinct, sometimes convoluted story, but they are designed to be fun, engaging open worlds with a ton of crazy activities to try out. They are always action adventure games and third person titles, which make them readily accessible to a lot of people.

In this game, we are in control of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima. We are actually alternating between the two during the story, and we control each one in key moments, which is a really neat and cool idea to focus on.

We get to explore two fictional cities named Sotenbori and Kamurocho. Here we have all kinds of guests as we follow the story, but also side quests. This is cool because the game does a really good job at allowing you to play the way you want. There’s plenty of diversity and fun, and the experience itself is always very exciting. There are also minigames here, like various Sega arcade games such as Space Harrier or Out Run that you can play right away and without any worries.

The gameplay itself is wacky and fun, and the combat is also very engaging. It’s one of those things that people like just because it’s so different and exciting. You can also run your side business, learn new fighting styles and so on. It’s stuff like this that really sets things apart, and the results as a whole are nothing short of extraordinary no matter the situation. With that being said, they are doing a very good job allowing you to switch the fighting style right in the middle of the battle. It’s definitely something different, and it allows you to always push yourself and reach new limits. That’s cool and certainly very engaging.

There is a skill tree in the game, and you unlock it gradually, as you play. That’s what you can use as a guideline as you grow, and you will find yourself becoming more and more powerful. You receive money liberally in the game, since every heavy attack you do will make the enemy to drop cash. It’s innovative and creative, but also a cool way to make you fight everyone to make money.

fighting for money!

Overall, Yakuza 0 is a great game, a wonderful adventure and it has all kinds of great content. All you have to do is to check it out for yourself (it’s easy on Luna!), enjoy the experience and immerse yourself into the game. It’s a lot of fun, and definitely one of the top titles to play on Amazon Luna if you want something refreshing and different. The story alone and the fact that you can have your own side business in a game make it well worth it!
